Some of the items were also supplied by local health visitors so its worth asking there too. They supplied even small items to help put socks on, and open jars, kettle lifts etc. Check it out with your own local council.
I found this link which may be of use from the Disabled Living Foundation. They mention leversl.

This link is more of an american manufacturer I think, but these levers do exist.

This is more or less the same answer that you got from weeal.
Telephone the OT Department of Social Work.
(Occupational Therapy) and ask them to do a referral on your friend's behalf.
They will come out to do an assessment.
Depending on where you live, the service may be free. Some Councils have a small fee to start, then any other needs are free.

10 minutes ago I'd have said "no problem" - but that's one of the annoying things about the net - it's all out there somewhere. I've drawn a blank so far. I guess all you need is an extended lever. I have seen them I know.
I've checked plumbers merchants and several disabled/mobility sites - all they want to do is sell you a complete bathroom!
I'll talk to my merchants tomorrow - also try Social services - they should know about suppliers.
Shall post for you tomorrow :o)

Builder another quote please:
An intergral garage conversion to a room.
New interior walls, one radiator led from pipes
New door and frame (to kitchen)
Electrics already in place but a light on the ceiling.
Artex ceiling
New window where garage door is and brick wall to fill in the hole.
Thank you.
(nearest 1000 will do)
