Can someone tell me how to display the camera icon
on the system tray in the bottom right hand corner
of the screen along with the other icons.

Right click an empty part of the Task Bar-
Properties-Notification Area & either untick Hide Inactive Icons or Choose Customise then find your Icon click it and click the arrow and select Show (Vista) or Always Show.
Click Apply and Okay
