Can anyone explain how we can destain the Electrophoresis of RNA?

The supporting medium is dried and a destaining chemical like 50% pyridine is added. The destaining chemical removes the dye from the gel and the sample retains the dye. After destaining, the bands can be viewed under a u-v-trans illuminator.
