can anyone recommend a garden contractor
I would like to know if anyone can recommend a garden contractor in SE London. Currently have cracked crazy paving in both front and back garden which will have to be totally removed. Front wall and fencing all needs to be replaced - infact total makeover. If anyone has been pleased with their planner/installer/contractor I would appreciate advise as from everything I have read so far they say word of mouth is the best source as so many cowboyds exist.

Try your local Thompsons. As I've mentioned on here before, why not take part of the work out of the project, get three quotes, choose your contractor and get to know him/her with the smaller job before proceding with the total makeover. And of course the 'do's and don'ts' :- view previous work, make sure they have full Public Liability ins, you know their address, dont take anyone with just a mobile number, dont pay 'up front', with a smaller job pay on completion when you are happy. Be prepared to wait for the right guys. Good luck, there are some cowboys out there, but there's also a lot of good, reliable contractors waiting for your call.
I am a garden designer and horticulturalist operating from Sussex and have several very good landscapers I use - if you email me at [email protected] I can give you more details.
