I hate spiders and I really hope Im not tempting fate by saying that I havent seen one in the house for ages.
I have no idea how to stop them coming into the house, I've seen these little spiderkill pens that you draw round the windows with and it kills them when they scuttle over the line but that would take ages and probably doesnt work anyway. I have seen these things you plug in and they make some sort of noise that supposedly gets rid of all the wildlife in the walls but I imagine the wildlife would just run out of the walls and into the rooms eeeekkkk Best bet is to get a cat, ours always caught and ate any spiders they saw :D
I haven't had any in the house since I put chestnuts (conkers) on the windowsills. You can also buy chesnut oil and wipe this on your windows and this works as well - so I have heard.
I have a real phobia about spiders.
Last Autumn we were over-run with them in the house and they were massive, I kid you not.
I just cannot deal with them at all, especially the huge ones. Hubby has to do the honours, but he refuses to kill anything living, so puts them outside just for them to come in again.
Makes my skin creep just thinking about them.
had a really bad experience today whilst driving, yeah you guessed right, it suddenly appeared dangling in front of my eyes, thank fully i was just stopping at a junction and was able to hold onto its thread and quickly chuck into the road, traffic behind stared to build up,i can well imagine the chap behind me saying stupid women drivers! I am absolutely petrified of them, what is it do you think , i think its their legs, yuch
I'm with you, IceMaiden. Please don't kill spiders, folks - they're really nice little beasties (and they eat daddy-longlegs!). They won't hurt humans and they're probably more scared of you than you are of them.
