Who's infested with them, who hates them and whos bloody terrified of them. The answer of course is me.
So when i went down the stairs this morning after a sleepless night to find a massive black spider on the chair, guess what happened.
Anybody having the same problem or does anybody know something to stop them coming into the house?

Although we have been having some very clement weather for February, spides never seem to appear until the summer months for me.
However, I was informed by a work colleauge today that his tortoise is stirring when he doesn't usually move until April time.
I do not particularly like spiders, so I just kill them happily.

I hate spiders and I really hope Im not tempting fate by saying that I havent seen one in the house for ages.
I have no idea how to stop them coming into the house, I've seen these little spiderkill pens that you draw round the windows with and it kills them when they scuttle over the line but that would take ages and probably doesnt work anyway. I have seen these things you plug in and they make some sort of noise that supposedly gets rid of all the wildlife in the walls but I imagine the wildlife would just run out of the walls and into the rooms eeeekkkk Best bet is to get a cat, ours always caught and ate any spiders they saw :D
good luck :D

I have a real phobia about spiders.
Last Autumn we were over-run with them in the house and they were massive, I kid you not.
I just cannot deal with them at all, especially the huge ones. Hubby has to do the honours, but he refuses to kill anything living, so puts them outside just for them to come in again.
Makes my skin creep just thinking about them.
