As I was down to only 317 mb I had to find space f rom somewhere I deleated nearly everything in the add/remove programme inc. Works. I then had 1100mb good the only trouble is I cannot type any letters is there another way or do I have to reinstall works. Many thanks in advance for help

however
open office has spell checking etc .... vor me thatz ezzenshall
but remember - you don't have to install everything
(can you do a partial install of works ??)

did you clean out the temp files
cccleaner might be worth a go

make sure you keep about 500mb free and you should be OK

Get that drive out the box and get it plugged in NOW.
Your computer will recognise it as an extra drive, exactly as you see drive C; D; E and so on.
You will be able to transfer your documents, music, photos, videos to it, and download directly to it exactly as you do with your existing drives.
DO NO TRY AND MOVE PROGRAMS unless you have the original cds, in which case you safely remove them from your pc and install them on the external drive.

If your external hard drive is connected to your computer with a USB plug, simply plug it in and your comp should automatically recognise it and you can drop and drag in the usual way., or if it doesn't stick the CD in that came with the srive and install the drivers for it.
