XP Reactivation

I need to re Activate a copy of Windows XP but the reactivation option is not showing in the system tools menu can any one advise.

are you sure it's not already acrivated?

the rules for activation are long and complex .... some versions can only be used on the machine they were originaly provided with (with the original hardware) -
others a certain number of times

some don't need it at all

Write the code on the COA down, ring your nearest Microsoft office and follow instructions.

If you have an illegal copy I wouldn't bother.
