external hard drive

i have a sony vaio vgn-fe31m, and i want to buy an external hard drive to allow me to store tv programs and moviesi have downloaded so i can take them to the rig to watch.
can anyone recommend a model to purchase bearing in mind it is to be portable.

You could buy an iPod Classic.

It is 160Gb and you can use it in disk mode so that it mounts as an external disk. You could copy your downloaded/ripped movies for transfer to the rig, or you can drop the films into your iTunes and sync it with your iPod and will be able to watch them anywhere on your iPod.
