Anyone catch last nights program?
What was the music playing when they were in the nightclub. I'm sure l heard the dj saying Macie Gray, but
l'm blowed if l can find out any of her records for the late 70's/early 80's.

haha it's fade to grey the name of the song. I think it's by Mirage if my memory serves me rightly. I will have a look and get back to you.

visage not mirage, nearly right. It's from 1981 as that is when Ashes to Ashes is set. The video is on you tube but I don't know how to work you tube thing above. Great music, my era.

They were in a recreation of the Blitz club,Steve Strange,co host of the Blitz and lead singer of Visage,recreated a performance for last night's episode.Did you spot the cloakroomguy dressedlike Boy George? Boy Georgeused to be the cloakroom attendant.

this was a bit of an anachronism, (one of several in this series, and in life on mars before it). steve strange announced "fade to grey" as visage's new single; whereas it was released in december 1980, and Alex's calendar shows the date to be well into 1981.

And guess what... I've also got an audi quattro (auto diesel estate) but boy, does it shift when you put your foot down!

I suppose any anachronisms could be explained by the whole thing taking place in Alex and Sam's subconcious and that they are aware of the time they have conjured but are not experts on it.
