Hi ray, regards the wall light. Do we need a box in the wall that goes behind the wall light for the wiring?

if you are going to use the flex to put light up, you will need the following stuff, you do not need to put box behind light, just make sure that you leave enogh depth for strip connectors and wires will not be squashed
Flex, if the fitting needs earthing, then get 3 core flex
oval conduit,. 15mm will be big enough (thats if you are burying it in the wall)
Plug top, get a 3amp fuse for it as well
strip connectors (5amp) and some tape to put over strip connectors, screws, and rawlpugs,
Thats it really, good luck, and take care, speak later, I am going out now, byeeee xx

Hiya ray - Well! We have the longest channel cut and the back of the conduit fixed in. We just need to cut the other channel near the bottom of the socket ( back to front L shape) and fix the conduit / flex in place, put the front of the conduit on, plaster, leave to dry then plug in. Thanks for all your help ray. Husband made me laugh, he had dust in his eyelashes, he got annoyed & told me to sod off out of the way lol xxx Makes a mess eh!
