Highest Rate of Conversion - GBP to ?

Hi everyone Does anybody know the highest rate of conversion, which isn't obsolete (must be legal tender), for 1 Great British Pound? I've randomly clicked conversions on http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi , and the best I can find is 1 GBP for 9,724.40 Zimawe Dollars. If anyone knows of a better rate, could you let me know please? Before a random guess of 1pound = 1,000,000 Yen, wrong - 1 pound is 200 yen! =P Thanks everyone!

Turkish Lira is about two million

Turkish Lira wins (about 2.4 million and climbing).  The next best is probably Vietnam Dong at 30,000:1, but it is not a tradeable currency outside Vietnam

Hasn't turkish lira just been devaued by 1,000,000x ? ie the exchange rate is now about 2.

 

How about Zambian Kwacha at 8721.4

In case anyone is interested, Turkish Lira will be devalued by 1,000,000 times, on Jan 1st 2005, so the exchange rate will then be about 2.5 to the �.

 

I knew I had read it somewhere!
