but you stand a good chance of having the question reported & removed - the reason email addresses are removed is because there is no proof that the sender is who they say they are.

CliveB - email addresses are removed for security and privacy reasons. Please don't try to get round this as it will lead to the thread or post being deleted. Thanks.

CliveB good question and hopefully you saw the answer before AB Editor removed it. I use other forums and e-mail address are alowed to be swapped so i cant see how security comes into it. Privacy reasons - not sure about this one as surly its up to the person if he/she wants to give out his e-mail address and if you gave out an email address that is not your own then there is worse ways to annoy someone with their e-mail address than posting it on the answerbank
oh and just to add it shocks me that someone must have hit the "report this answer " button,

Very good question.

If that is the policy, I guess we have to accept it, but maybe in one of the next improvements on this site, a new feature could be added, that allows users to send e-Cards to other users, by just using their name, not their Email address???

On another forum I contribute to you can email someone by clicking on their name, typing your message and sending. At no point do you see the email address.Perhaps AB could adopt this.
galltin: it is not a forum.
Please don't try to circumvent our policy, which is thought out, considered and, well, it's here. It's pointless trying to get email addresses, because you'll just end up getting banned. And what's the use in that?
It's a very stripped down version of a forum, if it's not a forum what is it?
Editor have you got a cold?  You're not talking in italics as usual.  I hope that pink swelling goes down soon as well.
Whatever happened to that Answerbook in Yahoo! groups? It was a group for AB users and I think one other website.
tomd: You are asking "if it's not a forum what is it?". The answer is: This is Answer Bank. People ask questions, other people give answers. That's it.
