I am due to return to work on Monday 18th Feb. My grievance against my boss has finally been concluded. The result was deemed as being "just short of bullying".

I do not understand what this means. Has he bullied me or not?!! It seems that he will be let off because of this outcome. I'm so angry. Is there any further action I can take?

i work for a very large well known company who do roadside assitance, I had problems with a bully boss, Years ago I would have instantly ripped his head off but as years go by I have mellowed and am slow to anger , that was until last week when I had enough of his snide remarks, I said can I have a word with you outside? we went outside and I said have you got a problem with me , he said No, well if thats the case brill, but if you ever speak about me or to me in a bad way again I will rip yer head off.... the office has been so different after that , he has been nice to everyone and it is now an happier place to work again , like it was before he came.... stick with it Tiggerblue, if there is enough mud slung , some of it will stick , no one deserves to be degraded or abused at work , spell it out to the bully boss so he knows where he stands, just do your job effectively and without problems .. best of luck

Thank you Tufty,

I wish I could be as brave as you and have words with my senior boss. The last I tried that she she threatened me with disciplinary. I can't seem to win! I feel like a target.
tiggerblue10, I really feel for you, I have had exactly the same experience, I loved my job, I had worked there for years and I worked very hard. A new boss came in and to say he bullied me is an understatement, he made my life a living hell, I was a strong character until all this, but ended up having a nervous break down - he knew how to play the system and got away with things time and time again. I went through all the correct channels, raising a disciplinary etc and eventually had to hand my notice in because he was making me so ill and depressed!! I took him to court, the problem is with employment law, there is no legal aid provided for it, he denied everything and could afford the best lawyers, where as I had not got two pennies to rub together - I took the case as far as I could by myself, but I was struggling to go further without a lawyer, even though on several occassion the Judge seemed to be on my side!!

He continued to harrass many members of Staff after me and they have subsequently left. He is still sitting pretty and earning a fortune content with his life!

I hate to say this tiggerblue10, but certain people in the work place do have an ability to play the systems, whether it be they have something on the company I don't know!

My only advice though is if it is making your life unbearable and affecting your health, try and find something else - I know that would allow him to win - but from my work history the ******** do inevitabley seem to grind you down!!

Good luck though,xxx
