Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Ther is an error in the magazine; kayakamina of this parish found out the clue and the answer, which appear on this other thread.

ABIDE or ABODE

The definition "face" leads to Abide, but the wordplay leads to Abode.

Rollo, did this response to your earlier question not help?

I too went with abOde - pretty much on the basis outlined by r.antioch - if that's any comfort.

I didn't think to ask about this one but I have gone with ABODE reasoning that the wordplay element is correct and the definition maybe should have read Faced.

Probably it is not going to matter anyway if the puzzle is voided.

Yes, the reply BigMac referred to did help, but not resolve the problem.

Thanks for both of your input to my post here. It is useful to see what a number of other solvers think.

It does not matter to me if the puzzle is voided because I don't send in my solutions to crosswords, but I do like to see if I can complete them.

All in all, this puzzle turned out to be a bit of a shambles.
