If you have a 20 Gb Ipod and 40Gb of music how do keep all 40 in your library and only sync a chosen 20Gb of it. I thought it would be those blue ticks under track name but that just stops it playing. Is there a simple way to choose tracks to sync and leave other on your drive but also in your library?

Are you using itunes? If so, when your ipod is connected, right click on the ipod icon in the left column, and it gives you ipod options. I have never used them, but you can chose manual update, or only update checked tracks. Not sure if this will do what you are asking, but worth a try.
