Superbands

OK A/Bers who do you think are superbands,the likes of Queen and the rolling stones,the stadium fillers,or future superbands?

Stadium fillers tend to be the rock bands out there. Aerosmith, bon jovi, Kiss etc always fill large venues. You'll get artists like Paul Weller who can pull in large numbers and i guess you have to credit Robbie Williams in there too (although i hate him). I cannot bear stadium gigs mind you, venues like brixton academy are much much better. More intimate and better atmosphere.

I think too many of todays bands are manufactured and  lack any idea of how to play an instrument,  the up and coming bands who don't totally rely on sex appeal to sell records are the ones to watch only because they have the flexability to adapt and change and therefore last a lot longer.

Presently U2 and Simple Minds in their heyday.

 

Stadium fillers in this  day ie 50 000 plus cant think of any !!!. Although in my day Deep Purple, the Stones(who I think are past it) the Beatles and an American band Grand Funk Railroad
