Actually Mr Postman Dog, some countries insist that your passport lasts as long as a visa would last incase the person wishes to stay longer.

Not actually a silly question at all.

The UK for example prefers entry with 6 months on visitors passports.

I think the inference there was that the passport will soon end and sometimes it is necessary to have six months remaining on a passport at the date of return from abroad. If that is the case then the licence would not be valid if it expires in July.

But yes - pointless questions abound in here.

Annoying isn't it?
I have not noticed them sir dog.
The majority of questions and even answers on here are pointless. Like many others, I just gloss over them and am amazed at the degree of intelligence which must be required by most of the participants. There are obviously some which make interesting reading and others can be amusing but they are in the minority. One slight improvement over the last few days is that one or two of the worst offenders regarding foul language, etc. seem to have gone on holiday ..... or maybe the Ed is doing more to earn his/her money than most of us have thought.

sir. ................... oops, sorry, Cugetit
Cugetit . . . ooops, sir

How are you doing?
Whhomm cugi tit pot black
Sorry about that ....... genuine mistake!!!
Cugetit - am doing fine thanks. And you?

We shall overcome . . . .

Hey KP NUTS . . . . you mean black pot?
Don't know where they are now, sir.
Friends of mine are going to Eygpt next week and theyve had to go and get new passports cos theirs run out in a couple of months.I think it depends where you are going.Theirs has to be valid for 6months upon return,i think within Europe its 3 months.
