I need a blow by blow discription for the high tech challenged of how I can transfer music or dvd movies from my windows driven computer onto my ipod. I am desperate to find out.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.the following is strictly just for music and concerns just the use of itunes. You can use other software to listen to music though.
1) Install itunes (with disc given with ipod or go to apple website and download it for free).
2) Open up itunes.
3) Insert CD into CD drive.
4) copy music across using the "import" button. or you can just listen to it straight away by double clicking on a track.
5) plug in ipod with wire given with ipod pack.
6) Select the now imported tracks (hold control and click the mouse for every track) (or use shift if you know how)
7) drag the music by holding the left click of the mouse down over to where the 'ipod' is written in itunes and let go!
8) eject ipod if you want and listen to music on it!
