Am I getting old or is it in genuinely bad taste to create a gameshow whereby the contestants have to deduce who did a murder from a re-enacted crime scene of a real murder? They have to see if they get the one who was ultimately convicted for it? Imagine it, someone murders your brother and a few years later it's on the tele, Sue from Surbiton guesses correctly and wins a holiday to Torremolinos... I'm appalled.
I hate most forms of reality TV with the exception of Celbrity Strictly Come Dancing (don't judge me!) and I think this is just another form of that. I have to say that I've seen the adverts for this and thought much the same as you.
I've watched and enjoyed CSI but I don't understand this spin off from it at all. For a start how on earth can they deduct anything using techniques from a TV program and secondly what's the pont? Whether it's tasteful or not I've not decided but I am on the verge of indifference.
I'm sure there was a program recently in which the 'prize' was a baby. Basically like pop idol but more parent idol with some girl who was giving up her baby at the end of her pregnancy. Now that I found pretty distasteful.
The baby show was in Holland and apparently it was a set up, they were making a point about something or other.
I have to admit I did'nt watch the show (I read the review in the Metro, who liked it) it's not for me so I won't be tuning in.
BTP, but is it a sign that I'm getting old?
