yeah we cant make an appointment in advance dotty. and we have to phone before 8.30am to make sure we get in that day. Its unbelievable, you can sit there from 8.00am when the docs open and ring and ring til your ears are dropping off and its always engaged :(

Pix, my mum's surgery is like that - you can't make appts in advance. Seems daft to me, especially if you're unable to attend the appt time they have left for that day because you have to beat everyone on the phone the next morning to be given the same poxy slot again! (try getting through at 8:30, it's a flipping nightmare!).

i am surprised at how hard it is for people top get a docs appointment at all, my surgery is fine at answering the phone, never engagaed, and they seem quite fexible most of the time. Imagine noit being able to make an advance4 appointment?? what is that all about i donl;t get it, that means emergencies are clogged up with routine appointments
