Dogs coming into season

I have a little Jack Russell Terrier who was three in August 2007, she came into season at the end of November. Am i right in saying that she will now come into season every 6 months now. What are the tell tale signs of her coming into season apart from the obvious.

When was her season prior to this one? Some dogs are six months, some 9 - 10 months, some every 12 months, they are all individual. Some have one season and never have another. Sometimes mine can get a little 'clingy', but others dont show any signs apart from a discharge when they start, or going for a wee more regularly.
