bathroom extractor fans

I am re-fitting my bathroom which has no window at all. The current extractor fan is old and not very effective. I want a fan that is reasonably quiet but very effective. Does anyone know what extraction rate I should be looking for? My bathroom is quite small - about 2m x 2m x 1.8m

You could buy an inline extractor, this is one which is installed in the loft or ceiling cavity. So away from the grill in the bathroom, which means it is much quieter. A normal rate is about 85 ltrs cubed per hour, although there are some which go up to 120 or higher. The 85 should be enough for the size of room. You can also buy a humidistat, which will keep the fan running until the moisture level drops
