When I try to open AOL i have a new box .. DialBB .. what is this? I think it is to help me connect but I just ignore it and open up anyway, Then I get my three blue and white boxes while I am trying to connect, the first one is OK and underneath it says 'Looking for AOL via TCP/IP' which it didn't used to say, and it takes a little longer than usual, eventually it opens up. How can I get rid of this DialBB box, and which is the quickest way to open AOL? Sorry as you can tell I'm not technical .. thanks all.

I dug around a bit smurf - it seems that AOL are now owned by Carphone Warehouse and are in the process of migrating their networks (but is seems to be taking longer than the expected and that they are having some problems - should be resolved in two week or so !!!!!!).... Apparently DialBB is a so called *improvement* and would have been downloaded by AOL onto your pc as they rolled out these improvements.... Nice of them to tell you !

I can't answer your question but I will give you one good piece of advice.

Get shot of AOL.

I had it for a year and had nothing but problems. It is absolute cack.

thanks matt, at least I know what is going on. But will I keep getting this box before I can open AOL? The only reason I stay with AOL is becuase I have a few email addresses with them and as I won't be able to use them if I move, I just stay with them. I am loathe to ring them if I have any problems tho, as they are entirely useless and I can't understand what they are saying most of the time ....
