Normally I like scientific opinion but here it states that the chances of an afterlife in any way shape or form are slim at best.
For me though saying "we are born, we live, we die" just doesnt sit right. Maybe its purely that I want to believe in something once im gone, maybe its that I dont know how to believe in not existing at all. I dont know.
I do find comfort though in believing that there may well be a heaven out there. Especially recently. I went to see my friend in her coffin and I wanted to believe that she could hear me saying all the things I didnt get to say when she was alive.
In todays world many people are religious and although I choose not to be, I have the upmost respect for those people and in many ways I envy them. For at the end of the day, whether heaven does or doesnt exist they are the ones that are going to have the lesser fear of death.
Heaven is an issue that I dont think we can ever truly suggest that it doesnt exist as at the end of the day, despite "some" meagre evidence that it doesnt exist, no one will ever know.
As for god.I dont believe in him. I didnt believe before my friends death and I certainly dont now.I cant imagine any all powerful being taking a life at such a young age unless he was a sick murderer and for those of argument against me, its not because god works in mysterious ways its because hes not there at all and her death was just a tragedy as are so many others.
The devil. Well he is just a made up character by some ancient cult or something, its the classic good versuses evil situation with him and if god doesnt exist then niether does he.
