why can men be such inconsiderate idiots sometimes !?!?!? I've just spent the day rushing around cleaning and tidying the house and getting some of my college work done so we could go away for the weekend to see friends together, and now he turns around and says he would like to go by himself as he hasn't seen them in ages !!!  Grrrr ! Why did I ever bother.

I'm a woman of 32, married twice. I reckon that blokes just don't think! and that's it...there's no hidden agenda with most of them (god they can't think past dinner time!) really i wouldn't worry about it too much, just change your plans to meet up with your mates and let them get on with it....eg have you ever noticed him not listening to you? It's a defect, they can't process two thoughts/actions at once, you have to treat them like an idiot (no offense to idiots!) just chill out and you'll be fine....btw, I've been with my husband for 5 years and it's the longest relationship I've had....must work eh!?

Mine's inconsideration in the flesh. My advice: don't be the one to lose out. You cleared your plate for fun so get together with other friends and find some! Take advantage of unexpected "free time". One more thing: inconsideration can increase & become a horrible take-for-granted situation. Be sure to not slide into it!

stoo-pid - I always tidy, clean & hoover the house before we go away for the week-end, or on holiday too. My husband can never understand why, but it just gives me peace of mind, plus it's nice to come home to.

precisely smudge!  I can't live in an untidy house (I'm not quite a monica from friends though before you think I'm obsessive!!), I have to know it's been done thats all.

anyway, me and the girls, takeaway and several bottles of wine tonight ! and he best bring me flowers home upon his return........... never gonna happen !!!

i would ask myself why he wanted to go alone  maybe he is just selfish and cant see why you need a break also ,,but what harm would it have done to take you ..i have been with the same man for 28 years and he has never done anything like that ,,so i would say to you organise a weekend away with some friends and leave him with the housework..just walk out the door at the last minute without telling himyou have allready made the arrangements,,and say see you i am away for the weekend that will give him food for thought..women are no longer the doormats they once were,,be assertive and rise up.. mullein

Happy Sunday you expect too much.  The secret to a happy life in juxtaposition with a male of the species is not to expect too much otherwise you are doomed to constant disappointment.  Expect the worst and you may be pleasantly surprised.  I am not a bitter and twisted feminist I just like an easy life.

Oh bless you. Yes, this is an age old problem indeed... In my experience, men seem to sort themselves out when women show more independence! Go out more without him! Don't tell him where you are going or when you will back. This will make him feel insecure and he will appreciate you more when you are around!
