Removal of marker pen form metalic paint

Went out this morning and noticed that some kind B-------
had put a 30cm line of what looks like marker pen on my car which is metalic Silver,will good old T-Cut remove it ??

If it's metallic silver, I'd try something less viscious first.

Marker pen should come out with meths, if it doesn't try white spirit or even as a last resort petrol. Petrol may make the paint dull but a good wax polishing should restore it (I had to use it on some road tar a few months ago).

The trouble with T cut is it scours a layer of paint off.

and sorry to hijack your thread Ray - but t-cut does remove a layer of paint/varnish - and can ruin the finish of some silvers. Try to polish it out first - if that does not work then a little white spirit should do the trick

get some good quality polish like autoglym, that should do the trick ,
