Orange Mobile
4 Answers
I've just gone onto a package with orange. I pay 15 per month and get free texts and calls for more minutes than I'll ever use. So why do I have a bill for 27+? I've rung up (cos I can't get internet access to my account) and been told that I had an internet package which is worth 5 per month and I've had it free for 2 months now I have to pay for. I was never asked if I wanted it and I don't. They also told be I'd made premium rate pnone calls to an 09 number when I definately have not. Any advice out there?

If they keep taking money out of your account, i would cancel the contract altogether and go to another network, like O2 or vodafone, id say O2 is the cheapest, and do great deals.
It has happened to me before, and i have had to cancel the contract, read over any documents that you have, making sure that it isn't just a few months at 15 and ten it goes up to 27!
It is one thing you got to watch out for, most of these contracts have it half price for the first few months1
Sorry i coudn't help any more
Good luck!!

I am also an orange customer, i have to say i was quite outraged when i saw this bit of smallprint that came in a random welcome letter, stating somewhere on it that you get 2 months free internet then you have to pay a 5 monthly charge unless you ring orange and cancel it, im not surprised you missed it, its only cos im always so careful reading that i found it.
Orange also charge for delivery reports, which i think is pretty ridiculous.

I've voted with my feet (or rather my tongue). Asked for my code but cancelled the direct debit first. One of the call centre staff had told me there'd be a 20 disconnection fee but the second time I rang they didn't say a word. I will not pay as they didn't tell me about the charge when I asked for the unlock code. Gone to Virgin as I have my broadband package with them and it's cheaper anyway. I cannot abide sharp practice. Many thanks for your replies
