crank shaft connection

had the aa to the clio this morning cos it kept turning over but wouldnt start. nice aa man said it was a loose connection on the crank shaft, stuck his arm in and voila it was fixed. what i want to know is does it need further attention, is this likely to recurr or detiorate?

what he probably meant was that there was a loose connection to the cps (crankshaft position sensor) for peace of mind id prob get it checked.

Renault call it the TDC, Top Dead Centre Sensor, New ones about �20 and pretty easy job to fit.

There is no electrical connection to a car's crankshaft! He may have replaced a push on terminal to the starter motor, or it's solenoid, or to the electrical system somewhere or other. have a good look where he placed his arm and see what is there.
It will only occur again if a wire has no slack and engine movement pulls the wire apart again. Phil.
