thats me today...and I will be worse tomorrow. My daughter isn't coming down from London to see me(poor student and all that...yet she was down last week to go clubbing).....and to make me feel worse she sent a txt this morning saying: ' i didn't get a chance to post your mothers day stuff in time-sorry.' I have managed to work myself into a really foul mood -everywhere I looked today people had bouquets-and I just feel like wailing. Cheer me up,feel bad for me, tell me I am a selfish old cow..help me get out of this mood! Girls-where are you??

Pasta my ex had our son most of the day and when came round to pick him up he saw my son's Mother's Day card on the mantelpiece that he made at nursery and jokingly said he wouldn't need to get me one now. Then he turned to our son and said "Do you want to help me pick some flowers for mummy this afternoon?".
When he dropped him off at mine later on he said he had slept for nearly 2 hours so didn't have time to go to Asda or Morrisons to get me any flowers or a card. He lives with his parents AND less than 5 minutes from Morrisons so I fail to see that there wasn't anyone else at home who could've minded the sleeping baby for half hour while he nipped out.
I wouldnt mind but this was the idiot who had a tantrum last year on my birthday when my mum bought me a card from my son, saying if she didn't mind, he wanted to be the one to get mummy presents and cards from our son, yet he basically couldn't be arsed this year. Why he couldn't have stopped off somewhere on the journey back to mine I don't know, so yes I do sympathise with you.
Hi pasta, aww sorry! Teenagers have their unthoughtful moments don't they! I booked a couple of days away after having a run in with mine! I bet your not on your own pasta. Not that it helps how you are feeling at this moment I know!!! Why don't you take yourself out and spoil yourself xxx
Awww you poor thing. My cats haven't bought me anything the little bu$$ers! ;-) x
Your daughter might not have txts you what you wanted but she did txt you.Be thankful for communication, and small mercies.
Aw pasta! That's the way it is with young 'uns sometimes...I'm guilty of it myself, actually....
But all in all, you still have a daughter who loves you, and no matter what she does or doesn't do for you (mother's day stuff, for example), she will still love you and think about you forever, believe me! Now, get a nice drink in ya, and try some therapeutic natter on here. xxx :O)
Take it you're NOT a mother then, Colonel ?

*tread softly amongst threads of this ilk*
I imagine come tomorrow she's going to feel pretty guilty!
They can be so hurtful at times, I know. You ask yourself, when do they grow in to nice human beings? You must go and do your own thing pasta xxx
