fire hearth

i am looking for a fire hearth in black that is 1.1/2" thick does anyone no where i can get one as they all seem to be 2'" thick

hi louise the reason they are 2ins thick is that is the minimum size required for a hearth is 50mm for gas appliances (BS 5871).
there are other parts to this BS number with different dimensions for various types of fires but the measurement that concerns you is the one of 50mm for hearths, and that is why you are struggling to find one thinner than this
