I know its a bit early to be asking so please don't moan at me!! I just want to know if 10d is an error. I can only find (and I've been searching a long time) that the custard-apple belongs to the ANNONACEAE family and it doesn't fit. Can't find another spelling either.

Hi Aquagility -
I wasn't trying to correct you - just urging caution with googling!
Every site refers to Goban SAOR .... except I just posted the one link I found with a spelling of SOAR .....
BUT, I don't like SOAR .... but how do you get around the problem with 10d ...... I cant see how the custard apple can be anything other than Annonaceae for which Chambers gives an alt spelling of Anonaceae !!!
The Linnaean classification of plants is being challenged and altered so perhaps this is where the solution lies? I don't buy into anana---- for that seems to refer to the pineapple ... there is though agavaceae ...but, I just can't link it to the custard apple!!
