Voices with soul,Changed The words of Lady Marmalade on saturdays nights X-factor.Voulez-Vous coucher Avec Moi,roughly translated ,will you sleep with me.Because they are christians.How dare they change the lyrics to a song. .?And why would they want to become rich and famous when they have such strong christian values,but they can change the words of a song to suit themselves!!

(1) It's not a copyright issue if they got permission from the copyright holder.

(2) Lots of people use existing tunes to different or new words. This group isn't the first and won't be the last.

(3) Christianity appears to be no barrier to fame and riches. Cliff Richard is a Christian and has earned loads of money over the years. It's said that he does good work with his money, and uses it wisely. Billy Graham was rich and famous too. Having money isn't a barrier to following any religion. The Bible doesn't say Money is the root of all evil; the says the Love of money is the root of all evil.

(4) Anyway, who cares what some wannabe popstars do on a TV programme that's designed to promote controversy? What the programme makers want is people round the country talking about it, as that makes them more advertising revenue in the ad breaks.

It was a bit of a laugh - they didn't feel comfortable singing will you sleep with me, which is their choice, so they changed it to will you sing with me. get a sense of humour!

Looks like youve upset a few christians Vinny.is this the vain geogit(what do i look like) person talking about knickers.the words christians and hypocrites comes to mind.most of us didnt even know what the english translation was,till these so called christians told us.thick or what.well spotted cowel.so you guys who have given an answer dont watch the x factor-you do- so why cant we talk about a program thats popular with millions,must be raining where you live-cheer up it might never happen.

Thanks for your support juicy lucy,but everybodys entitled to their opinion.this thread was actually twice as long which gave a slightly different angle to it,but the ED whipped it of this morning 2 minutes later,so it lost its origanal meaning.but hey ho ,you take the rough with the smooth.otherwise you shouldnt be on answerbank!!Good morning Girls,have a nice dayXXX.
