last night i watched secret window on dvd,did anyone else think it was aload of old toss or is it just me?

No its not just you- it was crap dressed up as a thriller. You could see right through it.

Thought that it smacked if that other film of SK, " The Dark Half."  Anyone remember that?  Very similar.....

Johnny Depp was alright, but as for the film in general - pants.

It is rather standard Stephen King fare. I watched 'Dead End' recently and that was very good indeed so get that instead.

I guessed the ending to both Dead End and this one.  In fact I guessed the ending to dead end right at the start and was right.

I thought it was toss! As for Dead End, it was ok for a  very low budget horror film.

This goes to the heart of bringing Stphen King book to film...he's a great writer but so many times the films have missed the mark but the industry keeps trying cuase when they are good, like Shawshank and Misery and Stand By Me, then they are very good.....Unfortunately this was a second rate short story as a book so I never even bothered with the film.
