Hi there
I had to leave my last job as I fled domestic violence and had to move in a refuge miles away so it was impossible for me to commute everyday
I am now applying for jobs and the bit where it asks why did you leave your last job I am unsure whether to put the full truth or just say I relocated to another city
I am not ashamed of what I had to do and it was about 18mths ago
Advice please ........

Hello lil, Hope you well today, I think for the initial stage I would put that you were relocating to new area, no need to go into in depth details on application, you can explain all if and when you want to at the interview if they ask why you moved so far away, good luck in your search, and so glad you left the knucklehead behind, stay strong, and keep going forward, Ray xx

I agree with ray honey , just want to say well done to you after what you must have been through , I wish you success for this job xxxxx
Just in agreement, relocation is a reason in itself!

Good luck chick, I hope you all the happiness!

in probability it was anothers emotional weakness that you had to deal with, i dont think employers have any right to know what happened to you previously ipso facto, it is more about fulfilling job requirements, hope you get the job that you want x
i agree with ray...its none of their business, just say relocating. i wouldn't even go in to any further detail at the interview, you don't have to tell them anything like that.

good luck in the job hunting! x
