If you've already pleaded guilty then there's not much else you can do.

The only thing you can do if you still drive automatic is remember to hold your foot on the brake pedal when selcting gear, then release the handbrake and slowly release the brake pedal. The car's creeping in the direction would then tell you which direction you are going.

If you have selected the wrong direction then reapply foot brake and hand brake and change gear.
its obvioulsy an accident, but I would have played on this a bit more by saying that you foot slipped off the pedal because you shoe was wet.

I would not have admitted to being new to autos.

Hope all goes well, and remember that accidents happen.
