Ohh..Car Chase!

Hey all!

I saw a car chase today! Driving on the A1 home from Hemel (well my b/f was driving!). Got halfway back home and 3 police cars with flashy lights pulled off from the hard shoulder and slowed all the traffic (we were the 2nd row of cars back from the police cars). We thought the road was going to be closed, but after about 10 mins, a White VW passat flew down the hard shoulder followed by 2 police cars, and then the 3 police cars slowing the traffic followed on! The car then turned off at the next junction and we carried on our journey home as normal!

Was really exciting, the kinda thing you think you only see on films and cop programmes!

Anyone else ever seen anything exciting like this?
Ive been looking to see anything on the news, but cant :(

Also been thinking, why, why why would you run drive away from the police like that?
Your going to get caught at the end, and why not just put your hands up and admit and say, ok I stole the car?
Driving away and then having a police chase, surely they are really doing themselves in good and proper and are going to get alot worse then they would of done for the original crime/reason they drove off?

Yes seen car chases, and was in the back of a police car when it stopped off at a burglary, have also listened to various car chases and drunken antics on CB radio

they dont always catch them. I remember being in a mates car and she was speeding only passed police and looked in mirror to see them turn round and come after us so she sped up and drove into someones back garden, sat for about an hour then carried on again

Well I can beat that? I saw the getaway from an armed robbery in our village today,they dumped the car just down the road from me.

Saw a car being boxed in and stopped on the A1 at scotch corner once.

I;ve seen a robbery and the culprits jumping over a wall to get away

i (honestly) saw one just on teh weekend, and it was a white transit, and about 8 squad card in persuit...they did nothing fancy really just flew by.....

I always wanted to see a car chase wiggal so i'm quite jealous.I didn't actually realise I had seen a robbery getaway as it was all so laid back,just some men getting out of a car and walking quickly away.I didn't know there had been a robbery until my daughter told me and then I phoned the police.
