help just spilt coke on new laptop

It only went on bottem half where the finger pad is ,i hhave put hair dryer on it and now i can move curser,b4 it was jumpin all over but i cant tap it to select stuff i have to press the buttond under it.Will it work again when its dry?do i need to anything else to laptop or will it be ok? please help

It will probably be fine. I spilt a lot of chardonnay on mine and it worked fine after I left it long enough.

id suggest standing it upside down so any residue runs off.
when coke dries keys will become sticky.
let it dry out try removing keys to clean off underneath.
tho it may be easier said than done removing and replacing keys.

best advice never drink over keyboard ,if poss

lol,i know sorry mate didnt find the funny side at first.I only got the friggin thing at weekend and it cost nearly a grand and a half.I pooped myself a bit when it happened.Sorry again it was rude of me.

goody im sure alcohol isnt as bad as soft drink due to stickyness when it dries.

get some computer cleaning wipes and try to remove it all .

I would remove any parts of the laptop that you can to let the air get it to allow it to dry. This may include battery, cd driver etc that can be slid out easily.

Unfortunately coke is one of the worst things because it is sticky and an cause the keyboard keys to stick, and even corrode the inside of the laptop.

I was eating a bowl of cornflakes above my laptop a few years ago and spilt the half eaten bowl of corn flakes and milk on my laptop.

Never worked the same again afterwards. I leanred my lesson.

NEVER EVER EVER eat or drink anywhere near a laptop. Keep glasses of drink at least 3 feet away and move over the the glass to drink it, dont bring the glass to the laptop.
