Comfy shoes

my job means that i am on my feet all day.

By the end of the day the pain in my heels is immense. Can anybody recommend any BRANDS / MAKES of shoe that might have built in padding on the soles or are very comfortable.

Marks & Spencer have a range. My current Shoes are from Clarks i think they are called soft shoes they hurt at first but they sort of mould to the contours of you feet it took about a week and they are comfy now. My last pair were from Bhs they were more comfortable than the Clarks ones but only lasted 3 months and the heel split.

m & s 'footglove' range, clark's comfy range, 'ecco' shoes in general (but they're expensive unless you go to an outlet village type place), and 'hotter' shoes which are specially made for comfort but most of their range tends to look a bit 'elderly', depends on how much of a compromise you're prepared to make for style v comfort. 'scholl' do a range of comfortable shoes too.

Thank you all. had a look at the manufacturers / shops that stock the shoes youmentioned. some not bad looking pairs...now i must just go to the stores and try em on...cos as you know shoes sizes can range between brands.

Can you wear Crocs?

i know they don't look too good (ok ok ok, they look horrific on) but they really are very comfortable.

Like you, I'm also on my feet all day, so I really do sympathise.
About 5 years ago I discovered Flyflot sandals and shoes, and they are without a doubt the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. They can be a wee bit pricey, but no too bad, but they last for ages so well worth it.
Their secret is that they mould themselves to fit your feet perfectly.
They have their own website, and you can buy them on Ebay and Amazon as well as a lot of the usual shoeshops.

Crocs are soooo comfy, and light as a feather, they come in lots of colours, if you're allowed to wear them, it's worth giving them a try

have a look, theyre not all granny styles but Reiker shoes are anti-stress, you can get them cheap on some sites, you will need to search a bit but they are good

hi eve, have you actually spoken to your GP or chiropodist about this, specific pain in the heel can often be a sign of a spur or other condition, get it checked out is my advice, for what it is worth. If you do not use a chiropodist anyway, then you really should start, they are amazing.

I have very broad feet and would thoroughly recommend Clarks shoes, yes they are expensive against other high street brands but what price comfort???

and for the evenings I have found lacoste trainers to be the most comfortable...or have i got expensive tastes???
