If you are a student then I promise you, it will not be of any benefit to you in the log term to be handed an answer to this question.
In order to answer your question you firstly need to know and understand how law is made in England & Wales. Once you know that, you will be in great shape to discuss it's advantages and disadvantages. You will be in even better shape if you can compare and contrast the advantages/disadvantages of the law making process in England & Wales to that of Australia, France, Scotland, South Africa, and the USA.
As a wee clue, you might want to think about issues attached to statutory law (made by parliament); case law (judge made law); codified and common law systems; adversarial systems as opposed to inquisitorial systems.
Look at those issues and you should be able to come up with an answer for yourself.
I genuinely hope the above helps.

Most definately a law PQ. First year I assume. I am a third year and had this question 2 years ago.
If you think you can coast along by getting answers off sites like this, you are going to come out with a 3rd...if you are lucky.
get off your ass, read, read and read some more. Stop being lazy.

Ps.
If you are just posting a genuine enquiry, I apologise. It just seems like a scripted question to ask

thankyou to stu dent for your anwer, and i can assure anyone this is not for my personnel use as some think ,proud to say i graduated in 2000 with a batcholers degree in sociolicy and again in 2005 with a masters in social science, hence having to ask about a law question.
i travel with 2 special needs sudents to university 3 times a week and thought it would pass the time by setting up small quizzes for them on their cousre as sometimes they can debate a little too loudly so thats why the question looks scripted because ive taken a few of thier assigment titles so i can ask any of you for help as a framework for me only to use.
once again many thanks to anyone helping me.
