Mountains are usually measured from sea level, so that would make Mount Everest the highest at 29, 028 feet.

apeters001 You really can't measure from the seabed as this differs all over the world. That's why mountains are measured from sea level.Although this differs depending on where you are and the state of the tide.
As a matter of interest sea level in the UK is measured at Newlyn in Cornwall. Don't know why though.
