Just watched Alan Titchmarsh there - with Summer Strallen playing Maria in the Sound of Music.

What happened to Connie Fisher please.

She was in Swansea on March 1st for St Davids Day homebart . I've just googled Connie's suffering from stress so maybe thats why Summers been brought in..

Didn't see Titchmarsh, but Summer has actually been lined up for months - her being in Hollyoaks part of the background to her taking over - so I think it was just a re-launch.

I read somewhere that planned shows have been cancelled because booking were so poor.

she left s.o.m as had been planned for a long time about 2 weeks ago, they bought summer in through a storyline in hollyoaks in which she went to london and stalked alw to get the part, it was all filmed and aired during the scheduled hollyoaks episodes to coinside perfectly with her taking over in the role, i did see her on tv recently and she said she was due to tour but decided to delay until her album is out, that way she will have more material for the tour when it does go ahead :-)

thanks everybody for your answers but I accidentally clicked onto Daily Mail and they said she was suffering from stress and also had a "nodule" or something like that removed from vocal chords. But generally she was not fit for the 6 times a week too. ta ra

Connie officially had her last performance in TSOM on Feb. 23rd, 2008. No doubt about that because I was at that performance. She is not ill at all, just a little exhausted after 15 months as Maria.

Connie decided to end her contract as she did not want to be typecast. Connie will not vanish she has a new album out in a few weeks and hopefully the tour will be put back on later in the year.
