The recession's hitting everybody. I have a friend in book publishing who's in a real bind. The local plumber says that business has gone down the drain. My accountant says is no longer adds up for him to stay self-employed. Our estate agent had a view to making a profit this year but trade has subsided to an all-time low and his brother, the builder, is bricking it.
