how is you computer connected to the TV? HDMI or VGA?
if its via the VGA port the resolutions supported are very low and the games minimum may be below the monitors VGA port maximum.
Have you had the problem in any other games?
Make sure your monitor is set up in home theatre pc mode in its settings. game mode would also help as it improves the TV's response times (speed the image appears on the screen).
I am using an ATI x1950 pro hooked up to my Samsung LCD TV via HDMI and havent had any problems although on my older graphics card an ATI 9600 xt games would crash frequently.
