I bet they got what they wanted for Christmas. I just hope next Christmas they get what they deserve. We should club together and send them some money - chocolate money!
This does remind me of when my youngest (now in his 20s) asked for an Inter City 125 train set for Christmas when he was about four years old. We said we'd see what we could do, but we mightn't be able to afford one. We were seriously struggling then and it was looking like he was going to be disappointed. I took him into a toy shop one day 'for a look around' and he pointed and said, "Mummy, that's the train set I want." I almost wept - what he actually wanted was a small addition to his little wooden, push along train set, costing about �12 (as opposed to the �60 worth of what we thought he'd wanted). Needless to say, that little boy got exactly what he wanted for Christmas that year, and a little more besides. :-)
