Power shower

Does anyone know if you can turn off the pump on a power shower. The pump is separate to the shower and is situated in the loft. There is a water pipe that runs from the pump through the ceiling and into the shower head. I presume there is another pipe from the water tank to the pump. Would it do any damage if I just turned the electric point off to the pump .

no you wont do any damage but your shower ain't gonna work too well
