Old floorboards

Hi! I'm planning to refurbish some old wooden floors. I've treated them against attack (woodworm etc) and will sand them down. Some of the boards have suffered attack and have chunks missing - what's the best way to fill these up?

My wife saw a home restoration prog where the chap mixed the collected wood dust with some kind of glue to make a paste - anyone know what type of glue or product is best?

When I refurbed my old floorboard I just mixed the wood dust with basic wood glue. I then filled any holes, and once it was dry I sanded it down. Once I had varnished everything it looked fantastic and you would not even notice that there were any holes.

You can buy ready mixed wood glue, but it is sometimes difficult to get an exact match.Making your own if far cheaper and you are guaranteed the best possible match.
