'Everyone has some good in them' my mum used to say to me. 'Treat people well and they'll treat you well' my friend used to say to me.
Well, I've come to the conclusion that some people are just crap people, scum. Your basic human instinct is to avoid these people completely, but civility and respect makes you feel that you should give them a chance. I had a good friend that used to talk about 'crossing' as in 'she crossed me once' to explain why he cut someone off completely and declared them as an enemy.
Should you act on these instincts? Are some people just bad to the bone and looking to harm you given the chance?

some people are scum full stop, sometimes you can make a judgement about somebody on first meeting them and be completely wrong, I always think it is best to treat people how I want to be treated, but if somebody craps on me , they only do it the once, then I just don't want to know them, end of story, no second chance.
Hi Meredith! - I believe in everyone there's good and bad. Those whom we've considered to be 'bad' were not always bad. Circumstances and life experiences make them 'bad' or changed them to be the 'bad' person they are viewed as.

For some it's like turning the good or bad switch on ... most people responds accordingly. x
