Semolina with that splodge of jam in the middle served as part of your school dinner ? You would mix it all up in that blue or green plastic dish you used to get it served in and make it go pink?

What do you recall of school dinners ?

we had these most amazing cakes at high school that we so lovingly names creamy dog *****! They were amazing , sort of like a cornflake cake but a different texture. The name obviously described the look of em to a tee but the taste was out of this world. What i wouldn't give to have one now!
does anyone remember those gold/bronze and silver metal jugs they used to fill with water ?
yes cazzz, i do, we had them at the hospital i worked at too. They were always badly dented.
Apple pie with the core and pips left in. Some body told me that the hard core was actually the dinner ladies toe nails . I v never had cooked apple pie since !
Yes I do cazzz , and only the teacher at the table was allowed to touch that and pour the water , unless it needed refilling , and it was considered very trusted to go and fill it .
