strange question, but am i normal for watching old sitcoms like open all hours, keeping up appearances, last of the summer wine, only fools and horses etc. My dad says im strange because they watched them ages ago, but i enjoy watching them.

you watch them because they are quality programmes, nothing abnormal about that. they are well written and acted, Im glad that you watch them and appreciate them

I watch old stuff (made before I was born) I think a lot of people do...

People visit old castles and buildings that were built before they were born.

They read old authors like Charles Dickens that were writing before they were born.

They visit art galleries and look at old paintings that were painted before they were born.

They go to concerts and listen to classical music or opera that was written before they were born.

Just because something is "old" it does not make it bad. Often older things are better crafted than newer things, comedy programs being an example.

If it is good it stands the test of time, and is worth hunting out.

Nothing wrong with you at all adam, but last of the summer wine?? How funny can watching 3 blokes careering down a hill on a bike/buggy/coffin/piano be, time after time? (just my opinion, you understand!)

How anyone can call Last Of The Summer Wine a comedy is beyond me, there is nothing remotely resembling humour in it.

It is normal to watch Dad's Army over and over. It's been going a lot longer than the war did. Last of the Summer Wine, though, I don't know...

Personally I think a lot of the old comedies beat today's offerings hands down.

At present watching "All creatures great and small".
Gentle action, some humour, some sadness.
First viewed in the 70's from memory.
Still enjoyable.

I really like Keeping up appearances and Open all hours. There is nothing odd at all they are good programmes.

There is nothing wrong with watching old sitcoms. A lot of them are better than some of the new crap on TV. Keeping up Appearances and Only Fools are classics.
