We were in Mary Ardens House at Stratford and the tour guide said that in the winter inthe 1500's they ate 'loads of beaver'. My sons teacher dissolved into uncontrolable giggles, swiftly followed by myself and the TA's. Poor kids look a bit bemused (good job!!)
No wonder they became extinct and now we are beaverless with nothing to munch on, hope beavers come back soon, lovely furry things , always wet and busy doing something, like gnawing on a large trunk!!
